The Day after the War Forum was established immediately after the murderous attack of Hamas on October 7th.

The Forum’s goal is to raise awareness among the Israeli public that an extensive military operation to overthrow the Hamas regime in Gaza must be a part of a broader multi-state political alliance, shaped with the cooperation and support of Western countries and moderate Arab countries.

The principles of our plan to end the war.

A joint statement by the governments of Israel, the USA, Egypt, Saudi Arabia (and other countries):

  • A call to Hamas and all the militants in the Gaza Strip (such as the Islamic Jihad; hereinafter: Hamas) and all the residents of the Gaza Strip, stating that they have an opportunity to surrender and end the war.

  • Terms of Hamas’ surrender: the return of all hostages; disarmament of all the militants in the Gaza Strip; and a complete renunciation of the ambition to annihilate the State of Israel.

  • A promise to the Palestinian people that the control over the Gaza Strip will be transferred to a temporary governmental framework [see below] established by the signatory countries, except Israel, as soon as all the hostages are returned, and it is proven that all militants have declared that they permanently renounce the ambition to annihilate the State of Israel and have been disarmed. The governmental framework will ensure fundamental reforms.

  • The temporary governmental framework will transfer governing power to the Palestinians  as soon as it is satisfied that the possibility of establishing a peacefully inclined, stable, and responsible government is guaranteed.

  • The Gaza Strip will remain demilitarized.

  • Israel reserves the right to defend itself.

Our Plan

Our Events in English

The Day after the War Forum was established immediately after the murderous attack of Hamas on October 7th. Since its establishment, the Forum has engaged in comprehensive research, in order to examine how conflicts ends, and to outline a proper and applicable plan to end the war in Gaza and to ensure the long-term security of the State of Israel. The Forum includes academic researchers with relevant expertise, from Middle Eastern studies, political science, psychology, law, international relations, security and others. The Forum seeks to influence the current public discourse in Israel via daily communications, opinion pieces, media interviews, and other channels. We collaborate with other groups that share our vision.

The Forum’s goal is to raise awareness among the Israeli public that an extensive military operation to overthrow the Hamas regime in Gaza must be a part of a broader multi-state political alliance, shaped with the cooperation and support of Western countries and moderate Arab countries. Without both elements – the military and the political – Israel will successfully weaken Hamas' military arm, at a heavy cost, but will leave the Gaza Strip under Jihadist control, or in a state of chaos.

The broad international consensus following the October 7th massacre is that Hamas is a danger to Israel and stands in the way for a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. A fundamental geo-political shift is necessary for both Israelis and Palestinians to live in security and prosperity, free from terror. Israel's war with Hamas is a war against a much broader axis of anti-Israel forces. These include Iran and its jihadist militias—Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, pro-Iranian militias in Syria, and more. There is a historical opportunity for a coalition with the moderate axis in the Middle East, supported by the United States: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, and some of the Gulf States. If Israel now takes this path, it will succeed in isolating Iran and Hezbollah, and promote an alliance with a large group of countries in the Middle East that share common interests. This will ensure the rehabilitation of the Gaza strip, and the security of Israel in all fronts.
